Grupo Peñín was created in 1983 by José Peñín. What started with a Wine Club is now a company with different business lines offering a complete range of communication services to the wine industry.
Biography of Peñín
José Peñín, renowned journalist and writer on the subject of wine, founded “Cluve” in 1975, one of the first wine clubs in Spain, and in 1980, “Bouquet”, the first magazine about the country’s wines. In the same year, he published one of the first wine best sellers, the “Manual of Spanish Wines”. Since then, he has published over 15 books.
He is currently president of Grupo Peñín and editor of "Sibaritas", the magazine for wine and other pleasures. He also created the influential “Peñín Guide to Spanish Wines".
