Grupo Peñín was founded by José Peñín, the most influential authority on grape and wine production in Spain. With over 30 year - experience, he is the most successful wine writer and journalist in the Spanish speaking world today.

The Peñín Guide provides unique access to data and information in the Spanish category, captured daily by twenty-four highly trained wine communications specialists, who are responsible for reviewing over 13,000 key brands, and editing over 8,700 wine reviews for the publication. The guide has an annual print run of 30,000 copies and is widely referenced in Germany, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, Brazil, Switzerland, Russia and Japan.

This year the Spanish version of the Peñin guide celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine is published by Grupo Peñín’s Peñín Communications, an established Marketing, Branding and PR company, specialized in wine and gastronomy. The group is chaired by Mr. José Peñín and managed by Mr Javier Moreno. Through the Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine the company has hundreds of business contacts worldwide, and is establishing a global consultancy and business-to-business information exchange centred on trends and opportunities in the Spanish wine industry, assisting importers in their understanding and knowledge of the Spanish wine industry and supporting Spanish wine producers in their export efforts in international markets.
